Care instructions

Take care of your jewellery, every piece of it is unique, however as a general guide:

1) Gold and silver will tarnish over time - gently rub your jewellery with a soft, precious metal polishing cloth to remove small blemishes and to maximise the shine 

2) Jewellery can be brought to life by careful cleaning with a soft brush and warm soapy water , or with proprietary jewellery cleaning solution . Try not to get threaded pearl or bead jewellery wet and only wet antique jewellery after seeking specialist advice - you could ruin it 

3) Once jewellery is clean - make sure you dry it quickly and well

4) Wipe pearls with a soft damp cloth after wearing to remove perfume, hairspray and anything else that is likely to damage them. Don't use abrasive cleaners on jewellery

 

Jewellery is delicate so it is important to take care while handling it:

1) Take your jewellery off if you are involved in any activity which could knock or damage it 

2) Take it off when you go to bed 

3) Keep it away from any chemicals , especially chlorine. If it does come into contact with chemicals , rinse it with water immediately 

4) Bath and apply any lotions or perfumes before you put your jewellery on which can particularly can damage stones like pearls or opals, or react with precious metals

5) Keep jewellery carefully stored and separated , ideally in a soft lined box or case, so that your favourite pieces don't rub or scratch one another 

6) Keep chains fastened so that they don't get tangled up
